conflict Confident Workshops
Transform conflict engagement from struggle to superpower
Are your student leaders ready? From roommate friction to campus-wide disputes over values, rights, and politics, the students who have stepped up to serve will face more than their share of conflict. Will they have the skills for success?
Conflict is normal where people gather. Whether it’s painful or productive depends on how well we deal with it. And how well we deal with it depends on how skilled we are.
Are your leaders equipped with the tools to deescalate conflict, create learning conversations and promote problem solving? Can they constructively engage disagreement, defensiveness and strong emotions? Can they calm the waters and build trust?
You can prepare them with a Conflict Confident Workshop. They can become the effective listeners, empathizers, connectors, and dispute resolvers who build productive relationships and compassionate environments.
At my Conflict Confident workshops, students will learn to constructively engage conflict with specific thinking, communication, and problem solving skills—informed by neuroscience, psychology, and mindfulness. They’ll develop a practice of skillful thinking, feeling, and doing to:
- Lead with skill, confidence and compassion
- Build relationships
- Reduce stress
- Resolve disputes
- Create vibrant communities
I lead my student workshops with passion, energy, humility, and humor to make the content memorable and the learning fun. If my students aren’t engaged, I’m not doing my job.
